Wacha fans 8, Cards rake in win over Mets

Michael Wacha reversed some early alarming trends in the Cardinals’ 9-1 win over the Mets on Wednesday. The right-hander struck out eight over six strong innings for his fourth consecutive win. Jedd Gyorko led St. Louis’ offense with a two-run homers. Mets starter Steven Matz allowed seven runs (three earned) and took the loss.
