Viciedo designated for assignment to open roster spot
There’s a chance Dayan Viciedo will still turn out to be a consistently productive player at the Major League level. That chance just won’t happen with the White Sox, who designated the outfielder for assignment on Wednesday to make room for Gordon Beckham on the 40-man roster.
