‘Upbeat’ Bogaerts returns; Holt placed on DL
The start of the second homestand of the season on Friday night marked the return of the Red Sox’s No. 5 hitter, Xander Bogaerts, from the disabled list. The shortstop had been recovering from a small fracture of the talus bone in his left ankle.
