Twins recall powerful Vargas to add to bench
With Adalberto Mejia going on the 10-day disabled list, the Twins had an open roster spot to utilize until a fifth starter is needed Sunday. They opted to add a power threat to their bench for the time being, recalling first baseman Kennys Vargas from Triple-A Rochester.
