Three homers back Bauer as Tribe tops Cubs
The Indians keep waiting for their lineup to wake from its April slumber. On Wednesday night, there were signs of life in the form of three home runs, providing just enough support for another strong showing from Trevor Bauer. In a 4-1 victory at Progressive Field, Francisco Lindor, Edwin Encarnacion and Brandon Guyer delivered solo shots off Cubs lefty Jon Lester. With the win, Cleveland and Chicago split the quick two-game series between the 2016 World Series combatants.
