Surgery unlikely for Sale; Pedroia’s status unclear

One thing the Red Sox do expect is that ace Chris Sale will be fully healthy for 2019. Things aren’t quite as certain regarding second baseman Dustin Pedroia, who played in just three games this season due to major surgery on his left knee.
