Stewing Roenicke: Ump ‘terrible behind plate’
Brewers manager Ron Roenicke said he might as well have thrown the towel in as early as the second inning of a 3-2 loss to the Padres on Wednesday thanks to plate umpire Mark Ripperger, who “we’ve had before, and he is terrible behind home plate.”
