Steady Markakis collects 2,000th career hit

Braves right fielder Nick Markakis has quietly gone about his business throughout a career that is starting to become more appreciated as he continues to reach milestones. Markakis recorded his 2,000th career hit with a fourth-inning single to left field against Dodgers left-hander Alex Wood on Thursday night at SunTrust Park. He becomes just the 10th active player to reach this milestone.
