Sox come through in extras after Giolito’s gem
Lucas Giolito was strong in seven-plus innings, allowing one run on two hits. The White Sox led most of the game on Jose Abreu’s two-run homer, but aggressive baserunning by the Rays tied up the game in the eighth inning. Daniel Robertson came around to score after a hustle double, and Mallex Smith executed a perfect suicide squeeze bunt with Joey Wendle charging home. But Yoan Moncada brought home the game-winning run on an RBI double in the 10th inning.
