Sources: Phils target Thomson as bench coach

Phillies manager Gabe Kapler is close to finalizing his coaching staff. Sources told MLB.com on Friday evening that the club plans to hire Rob Thomson as bench coach. The team has not confirmed, but an announcement could come next week.
