Sources: Phils tab Thomson as bench coach
The Phillies will hire longtime Yankees coach Rob Thomson to serve as the club’s bench coach in 2018, sources told MLB.com’s Todd Zolecki. An announcement of the hiring is expected next week. MLB Network’s Ken Rosenthal first reported on Friday afternoon that Thomson was the leading candidate for the job.
