Source: Crew re-acquires Jeffress from Texas
The Rangers and Brewers have agreed to a deal that will send reliever Jeremy Jeffress to Milwaukee, sources told MLB.com’s Adam McCalvy, Jon Paul Morosi and T.R. Sullivan. The clubs haven’t confirmed an agreement, which was first reported by ESPN’s Jerry Crasnick. The 29-year-old Jeffress, a 2006 first-round pick of the Brewers, went 1-2 with a 5.31 ERA in 40 2/3 innings for the Rangers this year. According to MLB Network insider Joel Sherman, the Rangers will receive right-hander Tayler Scott in return.
