Smith fans 9 in career-high 7 IP for 1st MLB win

Caleb Smith went a career-high seven innings and struck out nine batters to pick up his first Major League win, as the Marlins clinched the weekend series. Smith got all the support he needed on Miguel Rojas’ solo homer — his fourth of the season — against Chad Bettis, who allowed just two runs over seven innings.
