Smith: 18-game slate not in players’ best interest
NFLPA executive director DeMaurice Smith confirmed to ESPN that the NFL proposed an 18-game schedule in early labor negotiations, as the Wall Street Journal reported Friday, but he said he doesn’t see it “being in the best interest of our players.”
