Simmons’ homer sends Angels past Astros

Andrelton Simmons belted a two-run homer and Mike Trout opened the pivotal sixth inning with a sacrifice fly as the Angels made it two straight wins over the Astros. Jaime Barria went six strong frames for the Halos, who got to reliever Collin McHugh after starter Framber Valdez went five-plus innings and reliever Ty Buttrey worked out of a bases-loaded jam in Houston’s eighth.
