Simba and Young HR, flash leather to top Tigers

Andrelton Simmons and Eric Young Jr. each homered and made stellar plays in the field to help the Angels top the Tigers, 6-2, on Monday in the series opener. Angels starter Nick Tropeano left with right shoulder tightness after allowing one run on one hit in five innings. Nick Castellanos hit his 16th homer in the first inning for the Tigers, who were held to three hits in the loss.
