Shields, big inning by bats lead Royals past A’s

James Shields one-upped his rotation mates on Sunday at o.Co Coliseum. The veteran right-hander tossed five perfect innings to begin his masterful start against the A’s, helping Kansas City claim a 4-2 series-clinching win.
