Sharks activate centre Joe Thornton from injured list, place defenceman Mirco Mueller on IR

SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Sharks have activated star centre Joe Thornton from injured reserve and placed defenceman Mirco Mueller on the injured list.

The Sharks made the move Saturday before their game against the New York Rangers.
