Seager’s 3-hit day, clutch 2B give Mariners win

Kyle Seager capped a 3-for-4 day with a tie-breaking double in the 8th to give the Mariners a victory at Progressive Field. James Paxton (6 IP, 10 K’s, 2 ER) outdueled Mike Clevinger (6-plus IP, 4 ER), but the Indians rallied from a 4-0 deficit after Yonder Alonso’s two-run homer before Seager provided the deciding blow, setting up Edwin Diaz for his MLB-best 11th save.
