Same-market MVPs rare, but not unheard of

Mike Trout of the Angels and Clayton Kershaw of the Dodgers are the favorites to win respective Most Valuable Player Awards on Thursday, and if that ends up being the case, it would mark only the 11th time that two players from the same market captured the hardware for the same season.
