Report: Season-ending surgery for Machado

CHICAGO — Baltimore Orioles third baseman Manny Machado, who would have been eligible to return from the disabled list on Wednesday, is instead expected to have knee surgery within the week and miss the rest of the season, Yahoo! Sports reported Friday.
