Report: Mets hire Endy Chavez as Minors coach

Former Mets outfielder Endy Chavez has rejoined the club as a Minor League coach, according to a report by Newsday. Chavez will instruct Minor Leaguers at the Mets’ Spring Training camp in Port St. Lucie, Fla., and will also work with the Class A Short-Season club in Brooklyn this summer.
