Red Sox post 19 runs in slugfest win over O’s
Trailing by five runs through three innings, the Red Sox didn’t let up, posting 19 runs in a slugfest win over the Orioles on Friday night at Camden Yards. Despite the loss, the O’s had a strong offensive night, sparked early by two separate RBI hits by Cedric Mullins in his big league debut. But Boston’s 14 runs in the final four frames overwhelmed Baltimore’s pitching, which gave up 10 walks and nine extra-base hits in the loss.
