Rays wrap promising season with 90th win
The Rays wrapped up a surprising season in typical fashion: good work from an opener (Ryne Stanek), a relief win for Ryan Yarbrough (his 16th) and production from a promising group of young players. Tommy Pham and Jake Bauers had three hits apiece, Willy Adames added two more, and Mallex Smith and Joey Wendle contributed to a five-steal afternoon. The story for Toronto was Russell Martin’s stint as manager-for-the-day, but Kevin Pillar reached 40 doubles for the first time in his career.
