Putz excited for new role with D-backs’ front office

Since 2011, D-backs team president and CEO Derrick Hall and reliever J.J. Putz have talked about the right-hander coming to work for the organization once his playing career was over. Released by Arizona in June, Putz is now a special assistant to Hall.
