Power play: Grandy glad to reunite with Long

Not long after general manager Sandy Alderson picked Curtis Granderson’s brain about former Yankees hitting coach Kevin Long, the Mets hired Long as their next hitting coach, reuniting teacher with pupil. The Mets are hopeful Long can unlock the form that saw Granderson hit 84 home runs from 2011-12 with the Yankees. Granderson hit just 20 in his first season with the Mets in 2014.
