Pirates extend qualifying offers to Martin, Liriano

The Pirates have extended qualifying offers of $15.3 million to a pair of their free agents, catcher Russell Martin and left-handed starter Francisco Liriano. Not receiving the offer were right-hander Edinson Volquez and infielder Clint Barmes.
