Phillips approves move to contending Angels
Brandon Phillips’ appreciation for the opportunity to play for his hometown team was significant enough for him to contemplate passing on a bonus and the chance to play meaningful games in September. But in the end, the veteran second baseman agreed to spend the rest of this season with the Angels.
