Phillies see potential in Pierre at hot corner

Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. hopes to see more improvement from recently acquired Double-A third baseman Gustavo Pierre. The Phillies got him Sunday from Toronto for outfielder John Mayberry Jr., who was not going to return next season.
