Panthers’ Newton ‘on pace’ to start at Bucs

Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton, who was limited during Thursday’s practice, remains confident the ribs he fractured two weeks ago won’t keep him from starting Sunday’s opener at Tampa Bay.
