Newcomb falls 1 out shy of no-no vs. Dodgers

Trying to complete the Braves’ first no-hitter since 1994, Sean Newcomb allowed a two-out single to the Dodgers’ Chris Taylor in the ninth inning. Newcomb then exited having thrown a career-high 134 pitches. The Braves went on to win, 4-1.
