Nats place Zimmerman on DL, recall Walters

The Nationals were still waiting for the full results of an MRI reading prior to Wednesday’s game against the Rockies, but they deemed Ryan Zimmerman’s strained right hamstring severe enough to move the third baseman to the 15-day disabled list. The Nationals recalled infielder Zach Walters from Triple-A Syracuse to take Zimmerman’s spot on the roster.
