Nationals select HS pitcher Denaburg at pick 27

The Nationals have shown repeatedly that they are not afraid to select a pitcher with a history of injury concerns in the MLB Draft. So when right-hander Mason Denaburg fell further down the first round Monday night than many expected, they pounced on the opportunity to select him. Washington made Denaburg the 27th selection in the MLB Draft, once again taking a gamble on a pitcher in the opening round.
