Minor flirts with major feat in Texas’ win over SD

Mike Minor threw 6 1/3 perfect innings on Wednesday, en route to seven scoreless frames of one-hit ball to beat the Padres at Globe Life Park. Minor’s bid for history was ended by an Eric Hosmer single. He struck out five and now has a 2.08 ERA over his last four starts. Adrian Beltre and Jurickson Profar each had two hits and an RBI for Texas, which sealed a series win. Clayton Richard allowed four runs over seven innings for San Diego.
