Minor fans 8, leads Rangers to sweep of Astros
Mike Minor struck out eight across six innings to lead the Rangers to a sweep of the cross-state-rival Astros, marking Texas’ second three-game sweep this season and Houston’s first on the losing end. Delino DeShields, Jurickson Profar and Ronald Guzman each recorded RBI doubles for Texas, which also brought home a run on a fielding error. Houston’s offense came on a Tyler White homer, an Alex Bregman sac fly and a Tony Kemp single. The Astros’ staff notched 19 strikeouts, including 11 from starter Lance McCullers Jr., in the defeat.
