Mets set to activate Familia from disabled list

The Mets announced a series of injury updates Thursday, headlined by the return of closer Jeurys Familia, who will be activated before Friday’s game in Washington. Whenever Familia makes his first appearance, it’ll be his first Major League game since May 10. The right-hander underwent surgery to repair an arterial blood clot on May 12.
