Mets activate Vargas (calf), option Oswalt
Following Thursday night’s 12-6 win over the Pirates, the Mets announced they optioned right-hander Corey Oswalt to Triple-A Las Vegas to make room for left-hander Jason Vargas, who will return from the disabled list to start against the Pirates on Friday.
