McCarthy’s addition ends Wilson’s Dodgers tenure

The anticipated confirmation of the signing of free-agent starting pitcher Brandon McCarthy on Tuesday was accompanied by the surprise announcement that veteran reliever Brian Wilson was designated for assignment by the Dodgers to clear room on the 40-man roster.
