Marrero optioned to make room for Davis

Infielder Deven Marrero was optioned to Triple-A Pawtucket on Thursday to make room for Rajai Davis, Boston’s newly acquired center fielder. The Red Sox also reinstated right-hander Blaine Boyer from the disabled list, optioning Hector Velazquez in a corresponding move.
