Marlins hopeful Stanton won’t require surgery
Giancarlo Stanton sustained multiple fractures to his face after being struck by a pitch on Thursday night. On Friday, the Marlins announced they are hopeful the All-Star will not need surgery, and the club said that the slugger could return to Miami later in the day.
