Lucas claimed by Texas; Valdespin to Triple-A

Utility man Ed Lucas was claimed off waivers Friday by the Rangers, and Miami outrighted infielder Jordany Valdespin to Triple-A New Orleans. The two moves are among the first of the offseason housecleaning, as the organization puts its roster plan in place.
