Liriano locks down Cubs in outstanding outing
Francisco Liriano threw six scoreless innings on Saturday, and a methodical attack gave him enough support for an overdue win as the Pirates downed the Cubs, 5-0, in the delayed regularly scheduled game of an impromptu “doubleheader” at Wrigley Field.
