Liriano lifts Gardenhire to first Tigers win

Ron Gardenhire picked up his first win as Tigers manager thanks to an old friend from his previous managerial tenure with the Twins. Francisco Liriano delivered 6 2/3 innings of one-run ball in his Tigers debut, as Detroit ended its winless start to the season with a 6-1 win over the Royals on Monday afternoon at Comerica Park.
