KC rolls as Gordon now 4th on club’s HR list
No. 4 is now No. 4 all-time in home runs in Royals franchise history. Alex Gordon drilled a two-run home run in the third, pushing the Royals ahead by three and on their way to a 9-2 victory over the Tigers on Wednesday afternoon at Kauffman Stadium. Gordon’s home run was his 10th this season and 170th of his career, surpassing Hal McRae. Adalberto Mondesi homered and tripled and drove in four runs, as the Royals scored seven runs off Michael Fulmer. Danny Duffy pitched six innings of one-run ball and allowed two hits.
