J.D. slugs Sox to DH sweep with HRs 36, 37
Two homers in Saturday night’s 6-4 win over the Orioles — including a go-ahead two-run shot in the eighth — continued the legend that is J.D. Martinez’s 2018 campaign. Martinez’s third multi-homer game of the season extended his MLB lead in long balls to 37 and RBIs to 104, propelling him in the batting-title race behind teammate Mookie Betts. Whereas David Price and his six scoreless innings played hero in Game 1 by saving the bullpen, Martinez took on the role in Game 2.
