Hosmer’s HR in 9th keys Padres victory
Eric Hosmer smashed a go-ahead solo homer in the top of the ninth inning Tuesday night, sending San Diego to a 3-2 victory over the Giants at AT&T Park. Tyson Ross worked six innings, allowing one run while striking out nine batters. Giants starter Andrew Suarez went seven innings and struck out five.
