Hicks’ MRI on hamstring OK, available off bench

Aaron Hicks’ MRI on his right hamstring came back clean on Saturday, and the outfielder will be available off the bench. Brett Gardner got the nod in center, hitting ninth, over Hicks, who was forced to exit the Yankees’ 5-4 loss to the Red Sox in Game 1 of the American League Division Series on Friday night at Fenway Park.
