Gio paves way as Nats earn split with Braves

Gio Gonzalez went seven strong innings to earn his first win since May 28 as the Nationals beat the Braves, 6-3, in Thursday afternoon’s finale at Nationals Park. Michael A. Taylor homered for Washington, which earned a split of the four-game series. Nick Markakis and Ronald Acuna Jr. went deep for Atlanta.
