Gibson: Goldschmidt’s season likely finished

Paul Goldschmidt’s season is likely finished, D-backs manager Kirk Gibson revealed on Sunday. The two-time All-Star first baseman was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a fractured left hand on Saturday, a day after he was struck by a fastball from Pirates reliever Ernesto Frieri in the ninth inning of a 9-4 loss.
