Giants’ injuries open door for Uggla’s debut
Injuries to infielders Ehire Adrianza and Marco Scutaro forced the Giants to call up Dan Uggla after only a two-game tuneup at Triple-A. The three-time former Braves All-Star started at second base and batted seventh on Friday against the Dodgers’ Zack Greinke.
